I just had to fav Frank! :giggle: I have this same figure in the flower garden outside my window here! I'm not terribly religious but I like Frank. :) My patron saint is Jude ie. patron saint of hopeless causes.

This particular statue of Frank happens to be in Michigan too. It's at Cross Village way up North... Leg's Inn. I am not religious but LOVE the art of the heyday of such stuff.

When I met religious art face to face on my last trip to Europe, I was overwhelmed with the spiritual vibe. Much to my surprise, I might add!

I was never really exposed to religious art until I took art history in college. My area of study was Medieval art and I loved it... because of the vibe and the passion with which it was approached. There was nothing of the Platonic qualities of the Greek statues!

Thanks Steve. I thought this was really a nice one. I'd like to have a big garden where I could have a bunch of these!

I like the way you bring the old stones to life.
